Selection guidance

Match the finger arrangement to the timber duty

Closed-, open- and 3+2-finger arrangements provide different ways to engage logs and timber. Rigid configurations also change mass and geometry, so the complete assembly must be reviewed.

  • Log diameter, length and typical bundle
  • Required permitted load and working geometry
  • Standard or rigid grab arrangement
  • Crane or carrier details
  • Hydraulics, rotator and suspension arrangement

Rotator and system

Specify the attachment and rotator together

The catalogue recommendation is a starting point. Rotator load ratings, flow, connections and the complete suspension arrangement must be checked against the selected grab and duty.

Send us the material, machine and duty

We can narrow the range and recommend the configuration around what you need to handle and what the grab is going onto.
